  Notes	This was the family that the three boys grew up in, although they always claimed their father was James Norton Sherrington. Given that he died a long time before that was impossible and Caleb and Anne only married in 1880 after the death of Caleb's first wife. The best evidence so far that Caleb was the father comes from a note by Edward Rose's granddaughter Kate Field who referred to Charles as Edward's half brother.
